College Admissions Pricing
Basic College Advising Package ($750)
For many parents and students, simply picking a college or getting started on college admission essays can be a tremendous task, so we’ve created introductory package that can help relieve some of the burden.
Listed below is a general description of the services provided. While the individual time per service may vary, the total time will equal 5 hours. The time will include both face-to-face meetings and work done behind the scenes at the office.

Standard College Advising Package ($2,900)
This package should be sufficient for the majority of schools to which your student is applying.
Listed below is a general description of the services provided. While the individual time per service may vary, the total time will equal 16 hours. The time will include both face-to-face meetings and work done behind the scenes at the office.

Hourly Rate for College Advising
While the above package will be sufficient for most, it may be necessary to purchase additional hours in conjunction with our Standard College Advising Package to cover:
- Schools that do not use the Common Application
- Reviewing supplemental essays
- Athletes and recruiting
- Scholarships/financial aid
- Fine Arts portfolios
- Schools with specific LD/special needs programs
- International students
For those who are interested in fewer hours, it is possible to purchase hours as needed.
The hourly rate for College Advising is $200.
Essay Preparation Package for the Common Application ($600)
We also are able to help students who would like assistance crafting and refining their essays. Our Essay Preparation Package is appropriate for those students who are applying to the schools that use the Common Application and for the vast majority of US colleges and universities.
The time and service provided for the Essay Preparation Package are listed below. While the time spent on each essay may vary, the total time will be 5 hours; this will include both the time spent editing the essays (which is done behind the scenes at the office) and the face-to-face meetings.

For those who require additional time for the Essay Preparation Package, the hourly rate for Essay Preparation varies by tutor.
Hourly Rate for Essay Preparation (Supplemental Essays for the Common Application and Other College Essays)
For those who are interested in fewer hours, it is possible to purchase hours as needed.
A good approximation for the amount of time we will spend on each essay is 3 hours, which includes time spent by our college advisors meeting with your student to plan and review drafts of the essay and by our editorial staff.
The hourly rate for Essay Preparation varies by tutor.
International Students
The rates are the same as those listed above. Because of the nature of long-distance communication, there are some additional cost considerations.
- You will be billed for long distance phone charges. Average phone charges will vary depending on the country, but can add an additional $1.50 - $3.00 per minute; for example, 8 hours of phone conversations could add as much as $1,000 to the price of the service.
- In addition, please note that because this relationship will not take place with face-to-face meetings, more time will be spent communicating VIA email, IM, and FAX; therefore, additional time might be required when purchasing a package.
- For many foreign students, additional time might be required to:
- Determine whether taking the TOEFL Exam is appropriate.
- Convert foreign grading scales to the US equivalent.
- Research an international range of colleges and universities.
Cancellation Policy
To avoid being billed for a session, 24-hour advance notice is required to cancel any face-to-face meeting; otherwise, a 1-hour session will be charged.
Postage
Clients are responsible for postage. An estimate of rates is $4.50 for Priority Mail (approximately 3 days) and $25-$50 for Fed Ex (overnight). International rates will be higher.
Payment
Due to the nature of the work, payment is due prior to any work being completed by the college advisors. Any outstanding balances must be paid before scheduling the final meeting.
