About the Tests
PSAT:
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQ) is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test and gives students a chance to qualify for scholarship programs.
The PSAT/NMSQT is a shorter version of the SAT. It includes 5 sections that measure critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills. Some of the most common reasons for taking the test are to receive feedback on your strengths and weaknesses, see how your scores compare to those of your peers, enter the National Merit Scholarship competition, and practice for the SAT.
