Dual Success Story: Manhattan Hunter Science Tops CUNY Network with Highest SAT Scores

manhattan-hunter-scienceWe have exciting news to report! A-List partner school, Manhattan Hunter Science High School (MHSHS), officially has the highest SAT scores of any high school in the CUNY Network! For the last several years, A-List has had the privilege of providing SAT professional development to MHSHS staff – training teachers in SAT material to equip them with the tools and resources to effectively integrate SAT/ACT content and strategies into existing curricula – as well as small group SAT tutoring for students.

Check out how MHSHS’s scores compare to other NYC students:

Performing well on the SAT provides MHSHS students with the opportunity to earn a full scholarship to Hunter College, through a separate private funding partnership. More than 75% of MHSHS students now qualify for a full ride to Hunter—the highest percentage of qualifying students in the school’s history. Manhattan Hunter Science High School Principal, Kevin Froner, says, “…The bottom line is that in addition to outperforming most New York City high schools, our SAT math scores are higher than 70% of suburban Westchester schools, many of which, have median incomes more triple what our families earn.”

The hard work of staff and students is clearly paying off and we couldn’t be more proud!
