Subject Tutor (Ongoing)

A-List is a small, innovative educational services provider. We are dedicated to helping students from all backgrounds achieve their academic goals and successfully prepare them for their educational futures. A-List provides the very best in educational services to our clients. Our clients reside throughout the tri-state area, but for our newer tutors, their clients will be predominantly on Long Island. As requests for specific subject tutoring is cyclical, this position would be on an as-needed basis.

Our staff is made up of talented and unique individuals, which is why we invest so much time and effort in training and supporting them.

Subjects Requested:
  • Math (Algebra I and II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus)
  • History (US and World)
  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
  • English (Essays and Literature support)
  • Spanish
  • Have experience in education, specifically in the subject specialty area
  • Graduated from a top-tier school with a degree in subject specialty
  • Must live on Long Island and have access to transportation
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability in the subject area (either through testing or some other means)
  • Be able to teach SAT Subject tests, AP, and Regents
  • Be able to commit through the academic year
  • Have a valid driver’s license for at least one year prior to hiring and a clean driving record
  • Tutoring starts at $47+ per hour with annual raises based on the tutor’s performance reviews
