Caroline was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, where she studied Human and Organizational Development and French. During her time at Vanderbilt, she was a member of the Honor Council, served as a study abroad ambassador for the Global Education Office, volunteered as a mentor at the Susan Gray Preschool, and played on the club lacrosse team.

Caroline served as a College Readiness Coach for the AmeriCorps Project GRAD Institute Program, where she worked to increase college readiness in a college access intervention program for underserved students in Atlanta’s Public Schools. She taught English, math, and vocabulary, and provided college readiness training by counseling students in essay writing, interview skills, and test taking strategy. She also spent a year teaching English in Arles, France through the French Ministry of Education, where she taught in three French public primary schools.

Her other interests include travel, running, and comedy, and she has performed a sketch and improv show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.
