Vanessa was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, graduating with a BFA in Film, later pursuing a Masters in Pedagogy. She has just returned from a yearlong trip around the world, and has also lived and worked in London, Dublin, and Tokyo.
Prior to joining A-List Education, Vanessa was with the New York City Department of Education working on the arts grant Arts Achieve, and was also the lead on an education technology grant that was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She spent a total of 7 years in Japan in the education field, teaching English and working as the Head of Human Resources outsourcing English teachers to schools within Tokyo and its surrounding regions.
Vanessa’s other interests include photography, cycling, movies, metalsmithing, traveling, and french fries.
